Fad fishing is recognized as one of the greatest adventure sports in Costa Rica. FAD fishing is a different style of fishing which is quite different from regular fishing. Fad fishing in Costa Rica is done with a specialized device which is called FAD. The FAD stands for Fish Aggregating Device which is used for sport fishing. FADs are used as a part of the business for quite a while and now they become a popular form of fishing in the ocean. There are many Los Suenos fishing charters that provide FAD fishing torus in Costa Rica. Fads are available in different shapes and sizes and they are submerged under the water in a specified distance to locate the fishes. Little lure angle is normally pulled in to these structures and look for shelter around the FADs. Bigger predators, for example, marlin, fish and Mahi (Dorado), will then assemble to nourish and frequently take up residency in these territories.
